Boarding a Sydney ferry is an amazing way to embrace the soul of the Harbour, with a view and without traffic. The most famous ride would be Circular Quay to Manly Beach, which already gives you a relaxing time before swimming and sunbathing. And don’t miss the impressive 360 degrees view of the Opera House when the ship leaves the harbour. No worries you can also see it from the upper deck when sailing to Watsons Bay.
The short loop walk from the pier to the white and red lighthouse is one of my favourite Sunday stroll. Greeted by a salty whiff of fish and chips, follow the water on your left and you will arrive to a perfect little beach. The coastal trail will lead you next to another one, hidden, as swimsuits are not compulsory. Then just before the lighthouse, there is a wide open space where, sitting on sandstone, you can observe peace, the bay, and the far away Sydney skyscrapers.
