G’day & Welcome to Australia, and the wonderful beaches with sunny weather the Gold Coast is renowned for. In the afternoon you may want to take a surf lesson, relax on the beach, take in Sea World, an exhilarating Jetski adventure or wander the many restaurants and café’s dotted through Surfers Paradise & Broadbeach.
A day for the kids, and young at heart – drive out to Movie World for a full day of thrills and entertainment await you today at Warner Brothers Movie World. Rides and rollers coasters include Arkham Asylum, Green Lantern, Superman Escape, Batwing Spaceshot to name a few.
First thing this morning drive south down to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. Amazing Australian wildlife from koala’s kangaroos and crocodiles. In the afternoon head up to Mt Tamborine and the Springbrook National Park before heading back to the coast for the night.
Head back to Gold Coast airport today and fly a couple of hours north to Cairns in Tropical North Queensland. On arrival visit Tjapukai Aboriginal Centre with its interactive cultural shows, activities and demonstrations. Continue north 1 hour to the portside village of Port Douglas.
Head to Caravonica, and then take the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway over the Kuranda Rain Forest to Kuranda Village. Explore the quant village, markets and cafes before catching the Kuranda Scenic Rail train back to Freshwater, before heading back to Port Douglas for a sunset sail before dinner.
A full day on the reef starts today with Quicksilver Cruises. Your cruise takes you to Agincourt Reef, at the very outer edge of the Barrier Reef. Here, special reefs known as ‘ribbons’ run parallel to the Continental Shelf. Snorkelling and scuba diving is also available on your reef journey
Travel up Mossman, Daintree Forest and Cape Tribulation today. Nestled in the World Heritage Listed Daintree Rainforest, Mossman Gorge contains the oldest, continuously surviving rainforest on earth. Just one hectare of the 120,000 hectare forest can contain over 30,000 species of plants and animals.
Head back down from Port Douglas to Cairns Airport, for your flight home. We'll miss you, but know that you'll be leaving with some amazing memories.
