Entering in South Australia, visit a local vineyard and listen to the winemaker sharing his passion while enjoying some wine tasting. Before heading to Adelaide, you will take the ferry to Kangaroo Island where you will meet native Australian animals surrounded by stunning rocks and seas views. More time? Welcome to Australia. On arrival into Melbourne, you will be met by your personal driver, and transferred to your central Melbourne accommodation. Explore the city sights in the morning including the Fitzroy Gardens, St Kilda Beach and Old Melbourne Gaol. In the afternoon you will south for an afternoon/evening excursion to Phillip Island where you will view the penguins returning from the ocean at dusk.
Depart this morning out along the Great Ocean Road for a 6hr drive, through Torquay, Apollo Bay, Cape Otway National Park and through the spectacular 12 Apostles. Enjoy the dramatic landscape from the cliffs, or you may want to take a short helicopter flight over this scenery. After spending time here, continue onto the coastal town of Warrnambool.
Another 4hr drive today, stopping at Tower Hill State Game Reserve in the morning before travel up through Port Fairy and into Coonawarra Wine Region in South Australia. Tonight you will be staying on one of the vineyards in the region
A long drive today as you head North West, up through the Naracoorte Caves, to Cape Jervis, where you will take the 45 min ferry over to Kangaroo Island. You will then make your way to your accommodation on the island.
A full day touring the island today. Your touring will include Seal Bay then Flinders Chase National Park, renowned as a sanctuary for native Australian animals including kangaroos, wallabies, koalas and echidnas. The tour will take you along the rugged coastline for a walk on Remarkable Rocks and Admiral’s Arch.
Take a guided wine tour today from Adelaide into the Barossa Valley or Clare Valley wine region. Or alternatively, explore Adelaide and the surrounding hills and coastline, including the relaxing Glenelg Beach.
